What Makes Food “healthy”?

Traci Sellers, Linda Knudsen and one of my twins, Simon

Have you ever walked into a “health food” store and come out totally confused by what is TRULY healthy?

This was me just a few years ago.

I was eating the Standard American Diet and life was not bliss.  I was tired all the time and couldn’t make it through the afternoon without a  nap.  My gumption to do anything was completely exhausted.  I was also trying so hard to lose weight (with diet and exercise) but to no avail.   I was on my 5th pregnancy with twins.  I concluded that this was the price we mothers pay to have children.  I was happy to pay the price.

It was when the doctor wanted to put me on some medication that I finally called Traci, my husband’s sister and my good friend.  Knowing she went through an extremely difficult first pregnancy, followed by 3 healthy pregnancies– resulting from changes in her diet,  I knew she could give me some sound direction.

The health principles Traci taught me are found in her book:

 Traci’s Transformational Health Principles

(Which you can read for free online at her website: www.BestFoodist.com )

It has been over four years since I started my own transformation and I have experienced what I would consider miracles.  The greatest miracle I experienced was finding out that anyone can learn how to take charge of their own health.

When I first learned about the health principles Traci teaches I was soooo totally confused!!!  Coming from the old mind set I had to really think about what was being taught and why and how it all related.

It seems like some people think of “health food” in terms of “black and white”.  Either a food is ALL GOOD or ALL BAD!

What I discovered is that there are some foods which are fantastic for restoring and maintaining good health, some foods which won’t kill you but may not be the best, and some which will actually kill you.

So how can you know for yourself, within seconds, if something is healthy?

My philosophy is so easy to learn I can teach it to you in 10 minutes or less.  Learn how to make your family happy by providing them with food which is Truly Healthy AND Truly Delicious!
