Georgics Mini-Ag: GRAIN

There is a fun class I am currently mentoring called Georgics.  This is a class  trained/mentored through Leadership Education Mentoring Institute (LEMI).  They train mentors who then go and mentor youth in homeschool co-ops.  I am thrilled that I get to mentor GEORGICS this year.  The class teaches 7 Principles of Georgics, 7 results of living the principles, and 6 mini-ag field trips/hands on.

One of the mini-ags is all about Grain.  Instead of going out for a field trip we stayed in and did these stations which included making and eating waffles.  The kids enjoyed it all around.

Here is the packet I put together.  All I did was gather info and include links where further study could be done.  The packet was created so we could have a basic jumping off point for discussion about the many diverse aspects of GRAINS.

I hope it can be useful to other mentors (or anyone looking to learn more).

Please feel free to share the packet.  Please include a link back to this site.
